TOOL / PUBLIC ALPHA / LOCAL-FIRST

See your track.
Keep the judgment yours.

AudioAtlas turns one local audio file into a private, portable listening map: key measurements, clear plots, and a short list of places that may be worth checking by ear.

01 / THE REPORT

The output is meant to be inspected.

Compact, Standard, and Full reports use the same complete analysis. The depth changes; the tool does not quietly become a different judge.

02 / THE METHOD

A listening map with explicit limits.

01

Local by design

One file goes in on your computer; a self-contained report folder comes out.

02

Evidence before advice

Review prompts point to measured context and places to listen. They do not score the music.

03

Revisions without winners

Diffs describe what changed between related exports while leaving the decision with the listener.

03 / AVAILABILITY

Current ways into AudioAtlas.

The package is public. Native applications keep their own release gates.

Python package

Available

The recommended public-alpha route for macOS, Windows, and Linux with Python 3.11+ and compatible audio dependencies.

macOS app

In release preparation

A native Apple Silicon app is being tested. A signed and notarized public download has not yet been published.

Windows app

Not released

Native Windows build and acceptance work remain pending; Windows users can use the Python package.

04 / PROJECT UPDATES

A dated record, not a frozen version badge.

Each entry points back to its evidence. New releases can be added here without rewriting what the project is.

  1. SOURCE PROTOTYPE

Choose the depth of a listening map

Current source work adds Overview, Standard, and Detailed report presets, plus an explicit compact-computation mode. These options are source-checkout features; the published Python alpha remains 0.2.0a8, and desktop downloads are still in preparation.

  2. PREVIEW WORK

    The macOS preview takes shape

The native Apple Silicon app gained its own icon, conventional application menu, clearer input-error guidance, and cleaner report build metadata. It remains in release preparation while signing, notarization, and final acceptance are completed.

  3. PUBLIC BASELINE

    Release handling gets safer

Public-snapshot verification was hardened around exact repository roots, and Windows candidate extraction now refuses to overwrite an existing destination—even when a collision appears late.
